FROM THE FOUNDERS

Boston Leather Guild began with a simple idea: that leathercraft gets better and a lot more fun when it’s shared.

We started the Guild to create a space for connection, curiosity, and collective skill-building among makers in Greater Boston. Whether you’re new to leather or you’ve spent years at the bench, there’s something powerful about sitting around a table, passing tools, showing your work, and learning out loud.

This community is intentionally hands-on. We host monthly meetings, skill-focused workshops, and guest talks from professionals across the leather world. Our members work in all kinds of styles, from fine goods and traditional tooling to oddball experiments and practical, joyful builds. What connects us is a respect for the craft, a hunger to learn, and a willingness to share what we’ve picked up along the way.
